We loved working on Bineeta and Nim’s Dorset Indian wedding marquees!
We first met Bineeta and Nim at a Wedding Fayre in Bournemouth and we loved being involved in their plans for their gorgeous wedding. As well as supplying marquees at two locations for different parts of their weekend marriage preparations and celebrations, we were asked to provide a large marquee to house the mandap for the Indian wedding ceremony.
Their chosen venue at Parley Manor, Dorset already has a marquee installed, so this would be additional. There was just one problem….the marquee had to be installed on the Sunday of the wedding and ideally we would need to have everything completed by 10am so that the marquee could be decorated in time for the ceremony. No problem we said, but feeling the pressure – we had to do this!
The 9m x 18m marquee was to be fully lined with ivory pleated linings, chandelier lighting and a solid floor with carpet laid over the top. The bride-to-be and her family seamed and hemmed metres of beautiful sari silk to drape the walls of the marquee, and our limewashed chiavari chairs with ivory seat pads were used for the guests at the ceremony.
The day arrived and our crews arrived at 5am to start the build. It was still dark and we were working from the headlights of our vehicles. We have an incredible team and there was a great attitude on-site that day. Our marquee was actually ready before the 10am deadline and everyone was able to move in to decorate and transform the space.
We absolutely loved the finished effect. The happy couple were delighted with what had been achieved and sent us a lovely thank you note. It was our pleasure Bineeta and Nim – thank you for sharing your wonderful photos with us
